Delicious from the first drop. Dark blood-red, with some orange at the rim. Given the restained dark-fruited. earthy, spicy aromatics the full-on entry is a surprise: Full-bodied plummy fruit with an additional super-concentrated edge and big raw-leather tannins, not to mention substantial black-raspberry-pip astringency. Midpalate with more of the same, plus very elegant, piercing acidity. Slightly coarse, tannic finish.
